Last week, Tonkean announced its acquisition of Cinch, an AI-powered finance and logistics intelligence startup based out of Israel. The acquisition represents a strategic investment in Tonkean’s finance and procurement orchestration offerings as well as our presence across EMEA.
Cinch, recognized as a 2025 Gartner® Cool Vendor in Logistics and Fulfillment Technology, provides an AI engine that offers real-time invoice triage, centralized vendor analysis with 100% visibility, and automatically processes and categorizes bulk documents and output into a streamlined view of your spend data.
As part of the acquisition, Cinch CEO and co-founder Ohad Azgad will lead Tonkean’s FinanceWorks division as General Manager, with Cinch CTO and co-founder Ran Amar joining as FinanceWorks’ Product Architect.
“Tonkean is the undisputed leader of the orchestration space,” says Azgad. “We’ve long felt that what they’re making possible with end-to-end agentic orchestration is going to define the future of work in enterprise G&A. Tonkean provides a huge unlock for what we’ve been building at Cinch, and we’re excited to see what combining the two makes possible for enterprise finance and procurement teams.”
With the addition of Cinch, Tonkean customers gain expanded capabilities in invoice automation, vendor visibility, and spend optimization, establishing comprehensive control across the end-to-end procure-to-pay lifecycle.
News of the acquisition was picked up by outlets all over the world. One of the first outlets to cover the announcement was Israeli tech-news site Geektime, one of the country’s largest technology and high-tech publications, serving hundreds of thousands of monthly readers.
